Investigation

I work as a Fire Investigation Consultant for a leading UK Forensic Investigation Company. I have investigated over 250 incidents of varying types from domestic property fire to industrial incidents incurring large financial loss. A large number of these were fatal fires, including accidental loss of life, self-incineration and numerous unlawful killings. These incidents have required me to produce detailed reports into fire origin and cause, which have been subsequently tendered to HM Crown Court, HM Coroners Court and the UK insurance industry.

Training

In addition to my full time fire service duties, I am an associate trainer in Fire Investigation at the Fire Service College, Moreton-in-Marsh, where I facilitate training for both UK and international students. I provide Fire Investigation training overseas for a leading International Fire Consultancy and I have also facilitated Fire Investigation training to regional Police Forces and their associated Forensic Teams, HM Coroners staff, the insurance industry, academic students and regional Fire Services.

Testimonials

"I have always found your expertise to be crucially important to my understanding of the causes and behaviour of fires where victims have suffered severe and lethal injuries. Armed with that I have been able to interpret the nature of the injuries (By inhalation, flame, radiation burns, for example) and even the position the victims were in according to the sites of their injuries in relation to the seats of fire. Your clear and highly professional explanations at meetings and site visit have been given in a courteous, co-operative and objective manner."
